Louise Govier, who will be entering her final year of her music degree at the University of Birmingham in September, has previously conducted both the Wind Band and Brass Band. When she is not conducting, she enjoys playing oboe in the University Orchestras. Outside of university, Louise is a member of the Salvation Army, where she sings in the choir and has led small vocal groups. She is also part of the CBSO Leadership project, which encourages singing in schools. Louise hopes to use all these experiences when she conducts the Chamber Choir and Brass Band in the Autumn term.

Additional information: Please note, you will be required to pay a deposit of £20 at the first rehearsal for your music (cheques made payable to UMS). If your parts are not returned by the end of term then your deposit will not be returned.
